I work with clients and with internal staff as part of a consulting group with a focus on clinical trials. I perform statistical consulting and reporting, but as a manager spend more time with clients assessing their needs and with internal programmers, statisticians, and writers figuring out how to get the work done in a timely/cost-effective manner. What I like best about my job is the diverse tasks associated with the position

Increasing reliance on electronic data capture, where subject data can be captured immediately in a database ready for analysis.

Masters degree in public health (concentration biostatistics)

Either a MA in statistics, or a MPH with strong statistical programming skills

|
No - definitely not, but I was always interested in medicine.
